Lost Pets

If you would like to list your lost pet, or if you would like to let us know about an animal that has been found, please send an email to webmaster@co.henry.ga.us. Be sure to include a photo (no attachments over 1MB in size). Please note that by submitting your information you understand that your information will be publicly available on the County website. Henry County Board of Commissioners is not responsible for how this information may be used outside of the scope of the Animal Care & Control lost/found pets section of the website.

Note: To ensure that the listings are as up to date as possible, listings over 60 days will be removed unless otherwise advised.

Animal Control will post the pictures at the shelter; however, you should take the time to physically come to the shelter at least once a week to look for your lost pet. We look at hundreds of animals each month - so their pet, while easily recognizable to them, is not so easily recognizable to us!

This is "Shadow" a 13 year old mixed breed who went missing on Friday  Feb. 3, 2012. She went into backyard at 8:30 PM and has not seen her since. Located on the northwest part of Henry county on the north side of the north portion of Lake Twelve Oaks. Panhandle Plantation subdivision. She does take medicine for seizures and hasn't had any medicine since the morning of the 3rd. Was wearing a green collar with a lime colored hexagon reflective tag. She has an embedded ID chip and is up to date on all shots.  Very sweet dog who is very well mannered. May act "confused" if post seizure.

This is Bradley he is a 2 year old Dacschund he got out of a fenced yard 2/1/2012 . He was not wearing a collar and has seldom spent the night away from home . He was last scene at New Hope Rd and Craig Rd in Locust Grove / Mcdonough.

This is my dog, Lobo. On 1/17/12 around 12 he was put out on the fron porch to enjoy the outside breeze. Around 2:30 it is suspected that someone unhooked him off his leash and tried to take him but Lobo got away and ran off before the person could take him. Lobo is a Siberian Husky and he is almost a year old and he may seem like an adult dog. He weighs around 45 lbs. He has a white stripe which looks similar to a skunk stripe, but his only runs from the neck to almost the middle of his back. He is black and white with gray behind his ears. He also has a chip in him from 24 Pet Watch. He went missing from the McDonough area (Willow Lane).

Lost female yellow Cairn Terrier named Bailey. She is 3 years old and approximately 8 pounds. Recently groomed (Short). Last seen on 01-13-12 in the Lakehaven Subdivision off of Campground/Hwy. 155 in McDonough,GA. Has microchip.

This is Rocky, a 1 year old pitbull. He went missing Thanksgiving weekend from Lineview Subdivision in Ellenwood. He is mostly white with black/brindle patches on his eyes. No collar/tag.

Pippin, my six year old Shih Tzu mix, has been missing about a week. He disappeared from 248 Gilliam Court, Locust Grove (from Parkview Subdivision, near Heron Bay). He is white and black with lots of hair. He desperately needs a haircut. He's not wearing his collar or tag. He's a sweet dog, who tends to think he's a big dog despite his only weighing about 12 pounds.

BooBear, my eleven year old Yorkie, has been missing since early Sunday morning, Oct. 2nd from Primrose Lane in Locust Grove which is the New Hope Rd/Leguin Mill Rd area. He is black and tan with a tan face and has a very loving temperament. He tends to be nervous or jumpy at times and is most comfortable when he can burrow into or under the covers. He has never not come home, his family misses him very much.

Smokey large 2 year old white Old English Bulldog wearing black criss cross fabric harness on chest lost around Lake Dow in Mcdonough on August 2nd. He has not been nuetered. He is friendly and my grandsons miss him terribly. He was seen walking on Lake Dow road a few days later by someone in the area but no one has seen him since.
