Randy Stamey
District 3 Commissioner
Henry County Board of Commissioners
Henry County District III Commissioner Randy Stamey grew up in Clayton County, Georgia, and moved to Henry County in 1989, relocating his small business. After earning his State of Georgia Real Estate license in 1998, he embarked on a successful real estate career, receiving widespread recognition, awards and accolades from the business community. Through his business involvement he became interested in governmental issues and soon realized that the citizens of his district and the County needed a strong voice to represent them and their interests.
Now in his second term, Commissioner Stamey has been extremely instrumental in many of the transportation improvement projects throughout District III. The wide variety of projects include the widening of Jonesboro Rd. and the East Lake Road Extension, as well as numerous intersection improvements.
Commissioner Stamey has completed certification with the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) for which he successfully completed 96 credit hours of advanced classes. By completing the program and earning this certification, Commissioner Stamey continues to demonstrate his commitment to providing strong leadership and service to his constituents.
He along with his wife, Rhonda, and daughter, Morgan, live just outside the historic McDonough’s Square. Living on a small amount of acreage allows them to further their passion for animals, especially horses. They are members of Eagles Landing First Baptist Church where Commissioner Stamey served on the Academy School Board. The family is increasingly active in their community through charitable endeavors, and Rhonda serves on the Board of Speedway Children’s Charities (the Atlanta Motor Speedway Chapter) and both Commissioner Stamey and his daughter work with this extraordinary charity on a regular basis. Morgan is also a full-time student at the University of Georgia.
